From one of the org/q/ future threads:
>requesting /ago/, the Agora board
>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agorism#Ideology
>lainons post by city to advertise local trading, offer services, housing, bitcoin exchange, warez and file sharing, programming tutoring or contracts, organize distributed computing, ridesharing, political activism, couchsurfing etc
>it'd be like a chan craigslist people could build cred and social networks throughPretty /cyb/ I think, it also explains the tagline 'the silk road of lainchan'. I don't know whether its in test mode or its actually meant to be secret.

As an agorist, I wholeheartedly approve of this notion.
As someone with not all that much money and who leads a pretty boring life, I don't know if I'd actually make much use of any of this.

>>2 lainchan is probably a couple of orders of magnitude too small for it to not become dead very very quickly, but it can't really hurt, so whatever.
Also, I presume that many people are unlikely to post their thing for privacy concerns and stuff.

Having a semi-dead board isn't a terrible thing, it serves a limited purpose, but it does serve a purpose.
As was mentioned before, while it isn't in the top bar it isn't super hard to find.
Although the barrier to entry, as small as it is, is enough to discourage casuals, and the easiest way to kill this is with fake offers / brewing soykaf. Moderating something like this at a large scale would be a pain, although doable. The main thing something like this, where money is involved, needs to succeed is genuine posts and genuine responses.

>>15>>16lainchan is small enough that really browsing /all/ is the only way to go about it - I scroll through /all/ about once a day and go to threads from there; there's really no point to visiting boards individually at this scale.

I think this would be a cool concept and like the idea of an Agora board, I remember before Kalyx did his thing there were a lot of cool Lainhaus threads and van dwelling threads. a lot of talk of community. I think an agora board would help with that.
